The Alderley Edge Festival is a Charity run entirely by volunteers. It prides itself on providing a friendly and encouraging platform, where performers can experience a variety of confidence-building opportunities in music, speech and drama.
The Committee values constructive comment which will help to improve the Festival and senior members are always willing to discuss concerns on an informal basis. However, we also provide the following procedure to help those people who have a particular complaint to bring to our notice. The Festival Committee will always treat such complaints seriously and sensitively and suggest they are made in accordance with the following procedure:
- Please report your complaint to a member of the Festival Committee as soon as possible and during the Festival. It is hoped that most complaints/ concerns will be resolved quickly and informally. Any complaint relating to an individual should always be regarded as a second stage procedure.
- If the complaint cannot be resolved informally then it should be reported by e-mail or letter to the Chairman and copied to the Deputy Chairman (details in the programme and Syllabus) as soon as possible during or following the Festival.
- On receipt of the e-mail/letter, the Chairman and Deputy Chairman will consider and investigate the matter, bring it to the attention of the Committee where appropriate and reply within 28 days following the closure of the Festival.
- Decisions made by the Festival Officials after due consideration, are final.
